Sylt Island

Le dimanche 2 octobre 2011, avec les étudiants Erasmus, nous sommes allés visiter Westerland, une ville située sur l'île de Sylt.
On Sunday, october 2nd 2011, with the Erasmus students, we have visited Westerland, a town on the island of Sylt.

La journée a commencé à 9h par le voyage en train. Il faut 3 heures de train pour arriver sur cette île. Un peu long, mais finalement pas tellement que ça parce que ça en vaut le coup. C'est une île magnifique.
The day began at 9 a.m with a travel in train. It takes 3 hours to arrive on this island. It's a bit long but not too much because it's worth it. It's a beautiful island.

Quand nous sommes arrivés, la première chose qu'on est allé voir c'est la plage bien sûr. Heureusement le temps était avec nous.

When we arrived, the first thing we did was going to see the beach of course. Fortunately the weather was good.

La plage principale / The main beach

La plage principale est payante. Nous sommes donc allés louer des vélos et sommes allés sur une plage un peu plus loin mais gratuite. Et là nous avons pu nous allonger sur le sable, tremper les pieds dans l'eau et ceux qui avaient des maillots de bain ont même pu se baigner. L'eau n'était pas si froide, c'était agréable.

The main beach isn't free. So we rented bikes and we went to a beach a little further but free. And we lay down on the sand, put our foot in the water and those who had swimsuits could even go bathing. The water wasn't very cold, it was pleasant.

Pour finir la journée, nous avons fait le tour des boutiques et nous avons attendus le train pour rentrer. Il y avait vraiment beaucoup de monde et c'est pour cela que le train est parti avec 1h de retard et qu'il a fallu faire une partie du voyage debout. 

Malgré, ce fut une excellente journée.

To end this day, we went shopping and we waited for the train to go back to Hamburg. There were a lot of people and the train was 1 hour late and we had to stay standing for a part of the travel.

But it was an excellent day all the same.
